What is a report data package?

Node ID: report_data

A report data package is the governed machine-readable projection of an SDX evidence process.

It is not the final report and not a narrative document. Its purpose is to organize bounded outputs, evidence references, limitations, reproducibility data, appendix references, and possibility structures into a controlled form that can later be rendered for humans.

Report data separates substance from presentation. It defines what may be said, which values may be used, which limitations must remain visible, and which source artifacts support each element. A language model or renderer may consume report data, but it must not expand beyond it.

This layer is central to SDX because it prevents the report from becoming a free-form interpretation of the run. The PDF is only a rendering. The report data package is the governed substance that preserves the connection between institutional language and sealed evidence.
